Captain James Ketsaa began his career with the CCSD Police Department in January of 1991, following 10 years of service as a firefighter in New York. He served as a Campus Officer, Patrol Officer, Fire/Arson Investigator and a member of the Gang Unit prior to his promotion to Sergeant in September of 1993. While serving as a Patrol/Campus Supervisor he also supervised Communications, the Bike Patrol Unit, Department Fleet and many other functions within the Department.

Lieutenant Anthony York began his career with the Clark County School District Police Department in April 1990, following four years of service in the United States Air Force.

As an officer, he worked as a campus officer, a patrol officer, a member of the gang unit, a department trainer, and as a firearm instructor. As an author, Lt. York was instrumental in the redesign of department forms and instruction guides (1992) and the development of the Department Procedure Manual (1993). He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in December 1993. As a Sergeant, Lt. York supervised the swing and grave patrol shifts, worked as an Area Sergeant, as a Regional Sergeant and Bureau Commander. He also supervised the departments Emergency Management, and Training functions.

Lieutenant Ken Young has been a member of the department since 1991. Lt. Young is responsible for several key areas of the department to include; Campus, Patrol and Special Events. Lt. Young has worked his way through the ranks as a Campus Officer, Patrol Officer, Gang Unit Officer, Field Training Officer, Department Instructor, Patrol Sergeant and Public Information Officer. Lt. Young is a recipient of the following certificates Basic, Intermediate and Advanced P.O.S.T. certificates. Basic SRO, and Public Information Officer Training Certification just to name a few. Lt. Young is currently attending the University of Phoenix.

West Area Command Information

Operations Sergeant

Sergeant Roberto Morales began his career with the Clark County School District Police Department in 1991.  Sgt. Morales spent his first 5 years as a campus based Officer and then went to Patrol for the next year.  He was then assigned to investigations, as an acting Sergeant, where he spent the next 5 years investigating crimes against persons and property.  Sgt. Morales was promoted to Sergeant in 1998. Since then, Sgt. Morales has been a supervisor in patrol and is currently assigned as supervisor on Swing Squad 1. This shift is covered by four patrol officers and one sergeant.
