Lieutenant Ken Young has been a member of the department since 1991. Lt. Young is responsible for several key areas of the department to include; Campus, Patrol and Special Events. Lt. Young has worked his way through the ranks as a Campus Officer, Patrol Officer, Gang Unit Officer, Field Training Officer, Department Instructor, Patrol Sergeant and Public Information Officer. Lt. Young is a recipient of the following certificates Basic, Intermediate and Advanced P.O.S.T. certificates. Basic SRO, and Public Information Officer Training Certification just to name a few. Lt. Young is currently attending the University of Phoenix.

Adam Zone Sergeant

The Adam Zone is under the supervision of Sergeant Roberta Hodgkinson who has been with the Clark County School District Police Department since 1991.  Sgt. Hodgkinson is originally from Michigan.  She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Sgt. Hodgkinson moved from Michigan to Las Vegas and joined the CCSDPD in February of 1991.  She was a campus officer at Jim Bridger Middle School and Western High School as well as a patrol officer.  She also was a member of the gang unit.  For four years Sgt. Hodgkinson was in the Bureau of Professional Standards and was instrumental in bringing structure to the Internal Affairs process.  Sgt. Hodgkinson was promoted in October of 2005 and was responsible for the graveyard, and eventually swing shift.

Sergeant Phil Gervasi has been with the Clark County School District Police Department since 1992.








Charlie Zone Sergeant

Sergeant Eric Aldays has been with CCSDPD since 1991. Sgt. Aldays holds Intermediate and Advanced Nevada POST certificates and is a department instructor in document and report composition.  Sgt. Aldays started his career in law enforcement with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Sgt. Aldays is married with two children and enjoys boating, camping and fishing in his spare time.

David Zone Sergeant

Sgt. Russo began his law enforcement career in July, 1983 with the New York City Police Department. He has been a member of the CCSD Police Department for 11 years.







Swing 1 Sergeant

Sergeant Dan Burgess started his law enforcement career in 1995 with the Waukegan Police Department in Illinois. As a Waukegan police officer, he served as an Evidence Technician and Field Training Officer. In 1998 he was promoted to the rank of Detective and worked in the Juvenile Bureau. In 2003 he began his career at the CCSDPD and worked at Kenny Guinn Middle School as a Campus/Bike Officer. He has also worked as a Field Training Officer. In 2005 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and currently supervises the grave shift. In 1994, Sgt. Burgess received his Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Illinois State University. Sgt. Burgess also has a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.  Sgt. Burgess completed his Master's Thesis on School Based Policing and SRO Effectiveness in a Middle School. Sgt. Burgess has his intermediate and advanced Nevada POST certifications.

Swing 2 Acting Sergeant

A/Sgt. J. Kirwan began his career with the Clark County School District Police Department in 1991.  A/Sgt. J. Kirwan has worked his way through the ranks as a campus officer, patrol officer, and crime scene investigator.
